Why we are hiring
Yrausquin keeps getting busier. More cars on the road in Aruba means more vehicles coming through our service center, more parts moving across the counter, and more customers walking up to settle their invoice at the end of the visit. That last moment matters. It is the final impression a customer takes home, and we want it to feel as smooth and professional as everything that came before.
That is why we are adding a part-time cashier to our finance team. The role is twenty hours a week, with a clear focus: process payments accurately, close repair orders on time, keep the petty cash in perfect order, give every customer full attention and of course customer friendly.
If you are good with numbers, good with people, and like a job where the day actually ends when you close the cash register, this could be the role for you. It is also a strong fit for someone who wants serious, professional work without committing to a full-time schedule. Also you have a solid understanding of Aruba’s compliance requirements for cash handling, customer payments, and reporting.
| “The cashier is the last person a customer sees. We want that moment to feel as professional as the rest of their visit.” |
What the role involves
You sit at the point where Sales, Service, and Parts meet our finance department. Your job is to make sure every invoice is settled correctly, every repair order is closed cleanly, and every customer walks out feeling well taken care of. You report to the Assistant Financial Controller and work closely with colleagues across the company, plus our cash courier and local banks.
On a typical day you will:
- Process daily customer payments for Sales, Service, and Parts invoices
- Close repair orders once payment has been finalized
- Check that invoices, purchase orders, and amounts received all match up
- Manage the cash register and handle (safe) deposits according to procedure
- Request credit authorization for charge customers
- Administer the petty cash, including the company ATM card and transaction logs
You will also be the friendly face customers meet last, so professional service and a calm head when things get busy are part of the job every single day.
What we are looking for
This role is for someone who is precise by nature and patient with people. You will need:
- A minimum MAVO diploma
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar cashier or finance support role
- Experience with finance ERP software, Microsoft Excel, and the wider MS Office suite
- A customer-friendly attitude and a professional, representative appearance
- The ability to manage your own time, take initiative, and work well without constant supervision
- A reputation for being punctual, discreet, accurate, and reliable
- A solid understanding of Aruba’s compliance requirements for cash handling, customer payments, and reporting
- Good reading and verbal communication skills in English, Papiamento, and Dutch (Spanish is a plus)
Please only apply if you meet these requirements.
