JOB SUMMARY
The Bodyshop Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Bodyshop Technicians, which include, but are not limited to, removing, replacing, repairing, and preparing damaged automobile components, as well as aligning vehicle frames/unibody components to manufacture specifications within the manufacturer and dealership’s established quality and time limits.
The Bodyshop Supervisor is responsible for and oversees the repair and maintenance of automotive vehicles and ensuring that all work carried out is of the highest quality and standards. The Bodyshop Supervisor supervises a team of Technicians and collaborates with other departments to ensure that turnaround times, cost targets, and quality standards are achieved.
The Bodyshop Supervisor is responsible of ensuring that outstanding customer service is provided, that the repairs, maintenance, and warranty standards are followed as set by the manufacture and/or dealership, and that any issues that may emerge during these processes are managed and resolved properly.
The Bodyshop Supervisor fosters teamwork among all staff members in order to give the greatest possible customer experience and satisfaction.
On any given day, a variety of tasks may be performed.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure high quality effective and professional experience is provided to every prospect and customer following the dealership’s sales process.
- Facilitate interviews to discover customer preferences, needs, and buying motives.
- Arrange and accompany test-drives.
- Negotiate and close the deal from prospect to customer, fill in car order, sign customer up completely according to compliance process and complete all necessary paperwork and procedures required to finish the sales process and seal the agreement.
- Responsible to obtain the necessary ‘s documentations in order to deliver the vehicle to the customer.
- Follow up with the customer to make sure their needs have been addressed during the dealership’s sales process, both during the prospecting phase and after delivery.
- Accurately input and update customer information in the CRM system.
- Track all incoming leads from online and offline sources in the CRM system and prioritize follow-ups based on lead quality and urgency.
- Ensure all customer data is up to date and handled in accordance with privacy laws and dealership policies. This includes securing sensitive data and restricting access as necessary.
- Utilize the CRM system to communicate with prospects and customers.
- Establish and nurture relationships with past customers and potential customers to facilitate sales.
- Build productive working relationships and consult with others, as necessary.
- Keep up to date with new features and functionalities of the CRM system. Participate in training as needed and share knowledge with team members to ensure effective use of the system across the dealership.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of the car inventory and use that knowledge to encourage customers to make a purchase.
- Maintain high ethical standards in daily activities.
- Keep informed on all products (incl. accessories packages available), services, customer. demographics or profiles, and competitive automotive makes and models.
- Manage and resolve customer concerns.
- Identify and support opportunities for methods/process improvement in the sales department.
- Collaborate with our Sales Manager to prepare sales plans and forecasts.
- Work with our marketing team to grow our customer base.
- Responsible for staying up to date and completing all necessary sales training.
- Participate in departmental and dealership-wide meetings when needed.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned and/or required by business need.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Associate’s degree in Sales and/or Marketing or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Proficiency in using business software (like CRM) and computer systems (MS Office).
- Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under stress.
